Bob DeAngelis is a 40+ year veteran of the commercial finance and financial services industry, currently serving on the executive committee of Tiger Capital, and as the Group Head and Chief Investment Officer of Tiger Finance.
As a member of the Tiger Capital executive committee, DeAngelis is able to provide leadership and strategic guidance in continuing to help build the Tiger organization into a best-in-class financial services platform. In addition to his role on the executive committee, as the business line leader of Tiger Finance, DeAngelis utilizes his experience and understanding of capital markets to provide complex capital solutions to clients through a variety of credit-based products, including: secured loans, inventory consignment programs, junior secured credit facilities, and structured equity offerings.
As a further reflection of his entrepreneurial spirt and leadership, DeAngelis has been part of ownership and senior management teams that have launched four different successful start-up lending platforms, including Tiger Finance, Crystal Capital and Back Bay Capital. Additionally, DeAngelis was part of the ownership and management team that founded the private retail lending platform sold to Bank of Boston that eventually became Bank of America Retail Finance, still one of the largest and most successful retail lending platforms in the country.
DeAngelis began his career at Shawmut Bank’s asset-based lending group after graduating from the University of Connecticut’s School of Business. He is also a member of the Commercial Finance Association and the Turnaround Management Association.

Andy Babcock has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of asset-based lending, restructuring, valuation and asset monetization.
Babcock co-manages Tiger Finance’s debt portfolio and is responsible for sourcing, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management. He is a current member of the Tiger Finance credit committee and an original founding member of Tiger’s finance platform.
Tiger’s platforms provide capital solutions to its clients through a variety of credit-based products including secured loans, inventory consignment programs, junior secured credit facilities and structured equity offerings. Prior to joining Tiger Finance, Babcock held several positions at Tiger in business development, investment underwriting and asset valuation, Babcock has also served as CFO, CRO, President, and Director of various entities in which Tiger Capital has held a controlling interest.
Prior to joining Tiger, Babcock was a Vice President at a firm providing advisory and diligence services for sponsors, lenders, and companies in metals, chemicals and commodities. Babcock was a founding member of the firm. Babcock began his career as an analyst in financial services and retail.
He holds a BS degree in Finance from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

A 30-year veteran of the asset-based lending and financial services industries, Andy Cerussi focuses on identifying both secured debt financing and equity capital opportunities to facilitate turnarounds or provide additional working capital to Tiger’s portfolio clients. He is a current member of the Tiger Finance credit committee and an original founding member of Tiger’s finance platform.
In the 15 years preceding his role at Tiger, Cerussi was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he helped manage the Retail Finance Group. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at LaSalle Retail Finance, focused on workouts. Earlier in his career, he held positions as a Senior Project Manager at one of Tiger’s competitors and as a Retail Analyst at Wells Fargo Retail Finance.
Cerussi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Investments from Babson College and is an active member of the Commercial Finance Association and Turnaround Management Association. He also holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
Jason Rae is a Managing Director of Tiger Finance where he is responsible for sourcing secured debt financing opportunities and developing new, and enhancing existing, strategic relationships. Leveraging 20 years of asset valuation, advisory and disposition services experience, Rae works closely with lenders, private equity sponsors, advisors and investment banks to deliver asset-based solutions to both consumer and industrial operators.
Prior to joining Tiger Finance, Jason co-led Tiger Valuation Services’ business development team and was responsible for the New England and Canadian markets. He has served as a key contributor to the company’s overall growth and has participated in some of its largest disposition ventures. Prior to that, he was a Senior Project Manager of a national appraisal and liquidation practice, where he managed a team of professionals and conducted pre-funding due diligence, inventory appraisals and collateral monitoring for hundreds of companies on behalf of lending institutions worldwide.
Rae holds a BA in Economics from Boston College and is a member of the Secured Finance Network, Turnaround Management Association and Association for Corporate Growth.

Jason P. Shanahan is a highly respected veteran of the asset-based lending and consumer finance industries, bringing over two decades of proven leadership, deep industry insight, and a track record of structuring complex credit solutions for middle-market and large corporate clients. With 27 years of lending experience, he is widely recognized as a trusted advisor and strategic capital partner.
As Managing Director at Tiger Finance, Shanahan is instrumental in driving the firm’s secured debt financing platform, which includes sourcing, structuring, and executing bespoke capital solutions that support liquidity, growth, and restructuring efforts for clients nationwide. Known for his disciplined underwriting and hands-on portfolio oversight, Shanahan plays a key role in expanding Tiger’s financing capabilities and market presence.
Before joining Tiger, Shanahan served as Senior Vice President of ABL Originations at Citizens Bank, N.A., where he originated and led a wide range of secured lending transactions—from $15 million sole-bank credit facilities to syndicated deals exceeding $500 million. His industry focus included consumer, retail, and general industrial sectors, where he consistently delivered capital solutions tailored to complex business needs. Prior to Citizens, Shanahan spent 19 years at Wells Fargo Capital Finance, most recently serving as a Director within the Retail Finance group. During his tenure, he built a reputation for integrity, client advocacy, and reliable execution, managing some of the group’s most significant and long-standing borrower relationships.
Shanahan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Merrimack College and carries FINRA Series 63, Series 79, and SIE licenses. He is an active member of the Commercial Finance Association and Turnaround Management Association and currently serves on the Board of Friends of Reading Recreation.
Nick Michel is a Director within the Tiger Finance group. Michel’s main responsibilities include originating, underwriting and portfolio management, as well as supporting the deal diligence processes.
Michel has spent the past seven years with a particular focus on distressed and special situation transactions, including restructurings and turnarounds. In this capacity, he has worked closely with borrowers, lenders, and advisors to structure and execute complex financing solutions, often under tight timelines and challenging market conditions.
Michel joined Tiger in 2015 as a Financial Analyst within the Valuation Services division. He was a member of both retail and wholesale appraisal teams, where his primary responsibility was the construction of winddown models to support asset-based lending decisions.
Michel earned a BA in Economics and a minor in Business Administration from Boston University.
David Kennedy is a Director with Tiger Finance, where he leads originations, underwriting, and portfolio management / workouts. Kennedy has experience sourcing and underwriting opportunities across a variety of industries and asset classes, from heavy equipment to consumer brands. His experience stretches from the lower middle market to large corporate capital structures and includes both 1st and 2nd lien structures.
As a member of Tiger for over a decade, Kennedy started his career with Tiger Valuations. Since joining Tiger Finance, Kennedy has supported the team growing from less than $50mm in outstandings to over $350mm.
Kennedy graduated from Bentley University, completing the Honors Program with a double major in Economics-Finance and Global Perspectives.
As a Director on the Tiger Finance team, Dan Hurley specializes in the origination, underwriting, and portfolio management of a variety of credit-based products, including secured debt facilities and other specialty financing, across a broad range of industries and capital structures. He is involved throughout the full life cycle of the deal process, from initial structuring and due diligence to ongoing portfolio oversight and workout strategy. His transactional experience includes turnarounds, restructurings, and special situations.
Hurley joined Tiger Finance in 2023, and is based in Boston, MA. Prior to joining Tiger Finance, he was an Assistant Vice President in the Retail Finance Division of Wells Fargo Capital Finance in Boston. Prior to joining WFCF, Dan was a member of the Investment Analyst Group at GE Capital, based in Norwalk, CT.
Hurley holds a BA in Economics from Gordon College.
Connor Lee is a Senior Associate at Tiger Finance, where he supports all aspects of the deal process, including underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Tiger Finance, Connor interned with and later served as an Analyst at Tiger’s Valuation Services division. In that role, he was part of the consumer goods and wholesale appraisal teams, leveraging proprietary analytical tools and financial modeling to support a wide range of appraisal scenarios. His experience spans multiple industries, including apparel, consumer electronics, footwear, furniture, musical instruments, and sporting goods.
Connor holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from Bowdoin College.
Ryan Goss is an Associate who assists in portfolio management and analyses conducted for Tiger Finance.
Goss brings to Tiger Finance experience in asset management, alternative investing, and financial modeling, as well as technical knowledge to aid in liquidity monitoring processes. Before joining Tiger, Goss was an Assistant Investment Analyst on the Insurance Portfolio Management Team at HIMCO, where he helped manage multi-sector portfolios with more than $100B of public and private assets. Here, he also served as an intern on the Municipal Bond Sector team.
Prior to HIMCO, Goss held internships at both Fidelity Investments and Fiducient Advisors focusing on personal investing and investment consulting . He also worked as a Student Management Consultant for the Boston Red Sox, where he focused on integrating technology to increase concession revenue. He began his financial career as a Small Buyout Fund Intern for the private equity group Siguler Guff & Company.
Goss earned his graduate and bachelor’s degrees in Finance from Babson College.
As an Associate in Tiger’s Finance division, Graham Kennedy specializes in portfolio management activities and conducts detailed financial analyses. His responsibilities include building financial models, evaluating performance metrics, and assisting in strategic decision-making processes that support the firm’s investment and operational objectives.
Prior to joining Tiger, Kennedy was part of the Asset-Based Lending group at Citizens Bank. In that role, he worked closely with both the underwriting and portfolio management teams to conduct financial and collateral assessments, evaluate credit risk, and help structure and manage credit facilities. His experience spanned a variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail, and business services, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of industry-specific risk profiles. Kennedy also gained valuable experience in client relationship management, collaborating with borrowers and internal stakeholders to support ongoing deal execution and portfolio oversight.
Kennedy earned his BS in Finance from Providence College, where he was actively involved in the Finance Society and served as a peer mentor.
Jennell Spatola supports the efforts of Tiger Finance as the group’s Business Relations Manager. Additionally, she maintains Tiger’s proprietary Customer Relationship Management database and is the primary liaison for Tiger’s IT support vendor.
Spatola also assists in Tiger’s day-to-day Operations, including the management of expenses and scheduling, and plays a significant role in Tiger’s recruiting and talent on-boarding.
She graduated from Salem State in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Movement Science.
