Tiger Finance Deploys $78MM in Q3 as Demand for Flexible Capital Grows

Tiger Finance, the lending platform of Tiger Capital Group, committed $78 million in new asset-based financing to retail and consumer-products companies during the third quarter of 2026. The facilities included revolving credit, term loans and first-in, last-out (FILO) debt. Tiger funded refinancings, growth plans, dividend recaps and added supplemental liquidity for both sponsor-backed and non-sponsored borrowers.
Third-quarter commitments included:
- Agented a $33 million FILO term loan as part of the refinancing of women’s fashion retailer Maurices. Tiger participated alongside Wingspire Capital in the recapitalization of Maurices’ balance sheet. The refinancing extended maturities and lowered borrowing costs for the retailer, which operates more than 800 stores, and expands the lending relationship Tiger has had with the company since 2023.
- A $20 million revolving line of credit for Garage Beer, one of the fastest-growing premium light beer brands, backed by Jason and Travis Kelce and Durational Capital Management. The facility leverages the strength of the Garage Beer brand to fund new products and expansion into new markets.
- A $25 million term loan for a major U.S. department store chain utilized in part to repay maturing high-yielding debt and free up liquidity to allow the payment of dividends to equity.
Maurices is a returning Tiger borrower, and the Garage Beer facility is Tiger’s second financing for a Durational portfolio company.
“Borrowers across the retail and consumer sectors are seeking flexible financing that both reflects the value of their assets and provides them the capital to execute on their business plans,” said Bob DeAngelis, Executive Managing Director and Group Head of Tiger Finance. “Tiger appraises and sells in excess of $30 billion annually of inventory, brands, and other consumer assets every day. That lets us lend against them with confidence and structure facilities that go beyond a conventional borrowing base.”
